Standard FIBA rules will apply with the following exceptions:
1. Two, stop time, 10 minute halves shall constitute a game. There will be a two minute time between
halves. One time out will be permitted per half. Overtime, if necessary, will be two minutes.
2. A player will leave the court after committing three personal fouls and will take no further part in that
game.
3. A team foul situation will arise after four team fouls in any one half.
4. The court manager at each venue, in consultation with the referees and team captains, will have the
authority to adjust the length of any game to ensure that it is completed on time.
5. The game Referee's decisions will be final and no discussion will be entered into.
6. Two points will be awarded for a win and one for a loss in the league tables, in case of a tie in league positions, the winner of the game between the two teams in question will progress. In a three (or
more) way tie, points difference in the games between the tied teams will determine position. In other
situations, standard FIBA rules apply.
7. The final of both the women's and men's final competition will consist of two, stopped clock, fifteen
minute halves. Two time outs per half, four personal fouls and five team fouls per half will be
permitted in the finals. All the above rulings will still apply.
8. Players who are disqualified are automatically suspended from the next game and may be subject to
further sanctions.
9. Players numbers 4 to 15 (not 1, 2 & 3!)
Individual Competitions
These will run on Monday afternoon, providing there is enough interest shown. Rules are:
• Team kit must be worn at all times when competing in individual competitions. Only players
registered can enter.
Provisional Competitions (subject to change)
One-on-One
•Standard FIBA rules apply.
Starting possession will be decided by the toss of a coin.
•Each basket will count as one point, except for those from the three-point territory, which will be
worth two points.
•Each game will be the first to three points.
•There is a five minute time limit to each game. Whoever is ahead after this interval is the winner. If it
is a tie, sudden death overtime after restarting and reflipping for possession.
•To go from defence to offence, the ball must be taken out beyond the three-point line, otherwise play
is continuous.
•After each basket possession changes.
•Each player is permitted three fouls before disqualification.
Three Point
•Each contestant will have a designated time to make as many three point attempts as possible.
•Each contestant will have a maximum of two rebounders and two basketballs.
•Shots can be taken from any point around the 3pt arc, but no two consecutive shots can be taken
from the same place
Dunking Competition
•You dunk the ball the best way you can and we clap and cheer, simple eh?!?
