Rats Cockroaches No Hot Water No Heating Broken Windows Unresponsive Landlords
These are some of the accommodation issues students have reported to UBU this year.
We are hearing from too many of you about unacceptable conditions in your student housing, and it is time to address these problems head-on.
You shouldn’t have to accept substandard living conditions.
The UBU Housing Meeting is an open forum to air your grievances, learn your rights as a tenant, and build a collective plan to hold halls and private landlords accountable.
What we will cover:
Sharing your current housing issues in a safe space
Understanding your legal tenant rights and protections
Planning actionable steps to fix things!
