UBU is the University of Bradford Union of Students — a student-led organisation where your ideas and needs always come first.
Every student has a stake in the Union, and we welcome you to get involved in our decision-making process, and to be part of the services and opportunities we provide!
🗣️ General Meetings
As UBU is going through Turnaround and we don't have a sabbatical team or a student council, the student voice will be represented at monthly General Meetings. At these meetings students will be able to address issues and put forward motions to make changes to improve student life.
🏛️ Annual General Meeting (AGM)
Every single registered student at the University of Bradford has a seat at the table. The UBU Annual General Meeting (AGM) is your highest democratic forum — the one event each year where every student holds equal voting power on how our union operates, what campaigns we prioritize, and how officer decisions affect your student experience.

Vote on key motions, constitutional updates, and campus policies that directly impact student life.
🔍 Hold Leaders Accountable
Put your Sabbatical Officers and Union Trustees on the spot during open Q&A sessions.

🎓 School Representatives
A student representation system designed for students to be able to regularly give feedback to the University and Union. Some student representatives sit on UBU Council and also meetings at the University of Bradford.
🏆 Sports & Societies Executive
Students who volunteer to ensure their sport or society works for their members. Most sports & societies have at least 3 Executive Members who represent their relevant group and give feedback to the Union. Some sports & societies executives also sit on the UBU Council.
