About Us

One big objective is to grow the society so we can include people who are interested in taking part and to hopefully be able to create a BUKC team to take part in events such as club 100, for example.

One long term aim or ethos is to establish a strong and supportive racing community that pushes its members to compete at their best, represent the society with pride and uphold fairness, integrity and teamwork in every race. Some benefits of the karting society would be skill development. It would give our members a chance to work on their driving skills, improve their racecraft and their racing lines. It will also help them to learn how to make decisions under pressure as they have to constantly be aware of their surroundings and be ready to react to any sudden changes in their environment. It would also help boost the university profile as Bradford does not have a BUKC karting team and other universities, like Leeds, have multiple teams.
