Sports Team of the Week - Men's Football
Men's Football 1 are our Team of the Week this week.
On Wednesday they faced a tough away fixture at the University of Liverpool in the Quarter Finals of the Men's Conference Trophy.
It was a classic cup tie with both teams fighting for the next round in the cup, a home tie against Greater Manchester of Edge Hill.
The game finished at 2-2, and after extra time, it was still deadlocked.
BUFC have won three penalty shoot outs this season, so entered with great optimism.
However, this wasn't their day and Liverpool won 4-2, meaning heatbreak for the lads.
With all of our teams winning this week, any one of them could be the Team of the Week but this is the first time Football have been in the quarter finals in a number of years and the heart and spirit showed by our boys in a year that has been tough in the league makes them worthy recipients.
Well played boys, you did us proud.
