Coming to University can be scary, especially if it means leaving your family for the first time. So why not find your second family at the Bradford University Netball Club (BUNC). BUNC is a group of friendly and welcoming girls that play, train and socialise together every week. The club quickly becomes more than just a team, with everyone loving spending time with each other.
BUNC has 3 teams, 1st and 2nd teams play on a Wednesday afternoon and 3rds play on a Thursday evening. Training is twice a week including a fitness session for us to improve our fitness and build stronger friendships. ANY AND ALL ABILITIES ARE WELLCOME !!!!with our amazing coaches tailoring training sessions to all abilities.
Supporting each other is a big part of BUNC and therefore we try to watch the other team play as much as possible as well as supporting and encouraging each other in training. Our 1st and 2nd teams play in two different leagues against other universities, both trying to win the league and be promoted! Our 3rds teams plays in a local league and in 2018 came runners up which was an amazing success as many of them had never played netball before!
If playing netball isn’t for you then that is no reason for you not to join the club. BUNC is a very sociable club having a weekly social on Wednesday night along with Christmas and end of year dinners, charity events and other get togethers such as BBQ’s. Weekly socials include the chance to meet people from other teams and be creative with fancy dress and hopefully celebrate the wins of the two teams earlier in the day. Wednesday nights are the big student nights and socials are the perfect way to get you in the party mood as well as build lasting friendships with the other girls. We also go on tour every Easter to places in Spain, Italy and Croatia along with all the other sports teams for a week of netball (or not!!), sun, and crazy fun.
Training Times
Monday: 6pm - 8pm
Tuesday: 5pm - 7.30pm
As you will soon find out, being part of a sports team at Bradford (as a player or social member) is vital for having the best experience possible and BUNC is your way into the social, supportive and welcoming Team Bradford.

Memberships paid to UBU are non-refundable by default. Members of UBU are subject to the Code of Conduct, and memberships may be revoked by Executives, Committees, Assemblies or Council in the case of breach of the Code of Conduct or other terms and conditions.
Memberships to Activity Groups and Sport Clubs are available to all current UoB students. Availability for UBU Associate members is on the discretion of the respective Governing body. For more information, please contact ubu@bradford.ac.uk
If you take part in the Governance processes of a Club or Group, then the membership fee will not be refunded. If you wish to be removed as a member of a club or group after you’ve joined, please email ubu@bradford.ac.uk.
Activity group membership :
£1 of each membership goes to the Activities Development Fund which is overseen by the Activities Committee and goes to support any Activity Group. The rest of the fee goes to the Activity group you are joining.
These are non-refundable unless approved by the Executive Team of the Activity Group which you have joined. The Executive Team can refuse refund requests, and you can contact UBU Activities if you are unhappy with their decision.
UBU Sport membership:
£1 of each membership goes to the Sports Development Fund which is overseen by the Sports Committee, and goes to support any Sports Club. The rest of the fee is used to cover the running cost of sports. These are non-refundable unless approved by the Sports Committee and UBU Sports Department.
Joint sports membership refunds:
50% goes to UBU Sport and follows the above conditions. 50% goes to Unique for the Fitness offer, and follows their terms and conditions.
