Description

Welcome to the University of Bradford Badminton Club!

 

Get involved today with the fastest racket sport in the world, whether you just want to have fun or prefer the challenge of competition - there is something for everyone!

 

Badminton Club runs various activites and events throughout the year, including regular team training sessions and social sessions.

Social Sessions

 

Badminton runs weekly social sessions as part of the 'Your Turn' campaign.

 

These sessions are for you to come and play Badminton whatever ability you are, to have fun and interact with other students including team members.

 

Social Sessions will run every Monday and Friday starting from Monday 12th October until the end of semester, Friday 18th December. They will then resume for Semester 2 in 2021.

 

These sessions are FREE and open to ALL university students. You don't need a gym membership to attend these sessions - all you need to do is book on and ensure you bring your student card with you.

 

Equipment is provided including rackets and shuttles. Due to Covid-19 it is advised to bring your own racket, but we will provide you with one if needed. We also advise you bring minimalitems with you and your own water bottle.

 

 

Date: Monday AND Friday

 

Time: 2pm to 4pm

When booking on to the session provide your email address and for your phone number, please enter your UB number.

 

Please only book on to one session per day. This is to limit contact time as well as allow others an equal chance to book on and play.

Badminton Team Training

 

The University of Bradford Badminton Club competes in the BUCS league, against other university badminton clubs in the UK. The Badminton Club consists of the men's and women's team, with singles and doubles players.

 

The team trains twice every week, in order to improve technique, skill and fitness as well as building our team spirit!

Memberships paid to UBU are non-refundable. This includes fees for our registered societies, sports and media. Members of UBU are subject to the Code of Conduct, and memberships may be revoked by Executives, Committees or Council in the case of breach of any terms and conditions. Refunds can be requested though will only be issued if agreed by the respective Governing body. These memberships are available to all current UoB students.
