Young leader

Details Hide[-]

We are looking to recruit a team of young leaders (16-25) to support us to run the new youth program at The Springfield Centre. This is going to be a new youth program aimed at the young people (9-16 years old) of BD10/2 to raise the attainment of children at risk from the impacts of low attainment, poverty and criminal activity.

This is an amazing opportunity to gain more experience working with young people as the main role and responsibility is to be caring, patient and non-judgmental at all times to support and engage with the young people resulting in everyone having a positive experience at the centre. If supporting and engaging with youth is your main goal you do not need to have previous experience or knowledge of the specific sessions we run, however if you do have a passion in one or all of these areas’ sports, craft, cooking, or the environment there is a session at the Springfield Centre for you. If you have any of these passions, you may be given the opportunity to develop your skills and be involved in the planning and delivery of the session.

As the Springfield Centre we endeavor to support you to fulfill your role and to support you as an individual. This is be done by communicating directly to the youth work team leader and having regular reviews and guidance.

Reimbursement for travel expenses will be provided as you will need to make your own way to the Springfield Centre. Snacks and drinks will also be provided whilst at the Centre.

We will ask each applicant to complete a short application form. Then if we feel you are a good match for the role, we will invite you for an informal interview.
