The African Caribbean Achievement Project (ACAP) was set up in 1995 to promote and raise the educational development of young people of African & Caribbean descent in the Bradford Metropolitan District and surrounding areas. We seek to assist all young people to realise their full potential by ensuring that they 'enjoy and achieve' in all areas of their lives including educational and business achievement.
All our projects and services are tailor made taking each young persons needs into consideration. We do not believe that one size fits all. We strive to ensure all young people that we come into contact with achieve excellence in their education and recognise the value of achieving high grade qualifications.
We are looking for people to be inspirational role models, mentors and coaches to children and young people who need it the most. You will get the opportunity to improve your CV and career prospects through experience gained as well as working towards your personal and professional development. Your mentoring sessions will take place at our Education centre in Bradford and / or in a school based in a disadvantaged area.
Minimum commitment level: Once a week
