Volunteer Role: PCC Secretary / Admin Volunteer
Location: Todmorden
Hours: 2 hours per month approx

 

Want to make a difference in your spare time? Join St Mary's (and St Peter's) as a parochial church council (PCC) Secretary and help us change lives in our community.

As a Secretary volunteer you'll assist PCC meetings to run smoothly so members can focus on their roles and decision making. Help people book the church for events (and the finances that ensure the church costs are covered).

 

What you’ll do:

  • Assist with agendas and set up meetings
  • Service meeting including making/serving/clearing up refreshments
  • Assist with note taking and circulating meeting minutes
  • Help room bookings

What we’re looking for:

  • A considerate communicator able to listen and write, with accuracy and attention to detail. Numeracy skills would be helpful.
  • Admin and organisation skills, time management.
  • Reliability and willingness to commit a few hours each month.
  • No specific experience is required but you'll need access to a personal device such as a tablet, with email – just bring your enthusiasm!
