UBU Believes:

Being a student at the University, under the leadership of the Vice Chancellor, we have witnessed the declining standards of education and the overall student experience. As a part of the student body, we feel that this is a direct result of the “vision” and “strategy” pushed out by the Vice Chancellor. The University does not engage with the local community to tackle the real issues, resulting in students feeling unsafe, vulnerable and like outsiders.

UBU Further Believes:

  • Brian Cantor refuses to engage with students.
  • Student numbers are declining by thousands resulting in a deflated and empty campus.
  • He is increasing tariffs making Higher Education not accessible to many thousands in Bradford, a city which has the 4th largest metropolitan authority in England with a growing population of 531,000.
  • Students increasingly feel unsafe and at risk around the campus and city.

UBU Resolves:

  • To mandate the UBU Executive Team to lobby the University Council and relevant stakeholders to remove Brian Cantor as the Vice Chancellor of the University of Bradford.
  • To mandate the UBU Executive to lobby the University to make higher education accessible.
  • To mandate the UBU Executive to lobby the University to work with the local community to tackle the real, reoccuring long-term issues.
  • To mandate the UBU Executive to lobby the University to develop a new strategy that puts student experience first

No more team Cantor. It is time for #TeamBradford!

LET US UNITE TO PUT STUDENTS FIRST!
