At the start of the academic year, myself and Lorna (SF council reps) had a motion passed at SF Council to get better furniture in the communal hall and have it redecorated. We were informed that it would be looked into. 

At present the furniture is unsuitable and is in a state of disrepair, the flooring and walls are also in poor condition and this is not fair on any members of the university using the room.

It has now been a long time since the motion was passed and after extra prompting to the University bars, still nothing has been done!

I am now calling on the UBU to replace the furniture and improve the general condition of the room as soon as possible. I think that this is a very important matter for a lot of students.
