Bradford Cathedral launched its “100 for 100” appeal in January and is looking for 100 volunteers in its Centenary year to sign up to the many opportunities available.
The “100 for 100” appeal invites people in Bradford and beyond to come along to one of Yorkshire’s hidden gems in order to get involved with its many volunteering opportunities.
There are many ways in which you can volunteer at Bradford Cathedral to make the building welcoming, attractive for visitors and support the music-making and ministry.
We have a variety of volunteering opportunities including flower arranging, welcoming, being part of the verging or serving teams, cleaning, gardening and being a member of our choir.
We are seeking to recruit and train new bell ringers so we have a full band. Once again the bells will be heard across the city again, announcing our presence to all, and the tradition of change ringing in Bradford will be preserved.
Bradford Cathedral runs many events and produces booklets, flyers and other marketing tools, as well as running social media accounts. Street team and event support volunteers will help spread the word about our events, services and initiatives through online and offline means, as well as supporting the events themselves.
