Mind in Bradford is an independent organisation affiliated to Mind that works towards a better life for people experiencing mental and emotional health problems. As recipients of the Mind Quality Mark, we abide by, and operate to, the high standards set out by the national charity.
To promote mental well-being and empower and help people experiencing mental health problems to manage and work towards recovery and fulfilment.

At the moment, Mind in Bradford works has three main areas of core service delivery:
The Well-Being Service: Groups and activities offering structured support and intervention for mental health recovery (see our latest time-table here: http://mindinbradford.org.uk/well-being).
The Sanctuary: An innovative crisis service offering support to those in extreme mental health duress between the hours of 6pm and 1am (more details here: http://mindinbradford.org.uk/the-sanctuary).
Guide-Line: A mental health telephone helpline open every day from 12noon - 9pm offering support and signposting to people in the Bradford district (more details here: http://mindinbradford.org.uk/guide-line).

We also have a number of up-and-coming projects for which we are seeking volunteers:
Care of the Eldery Project: Working with people over 65 who are suffering with depression to reduce social isolation.

Are you passionate, positive and can spare an hour a week?
If so, our new Community Companions volunteering is just for you.
You will:
Provide one-to-one support visits
Empower people to better manage their mental health
Help access local community programmes in Baildon
All training will be provided by Mind in Bradford and we are able to provide travel expenses for the vounteers to and from Baildon.
Minimum one year commitment required
Minimum commitment level: Once a week
