Bradford has two train stations - Bradford Interchange and Bradford Forster Square. Both stations have extensive rail links, though many involve changing at Leeds. The Interchange is where you will probably arrive. Approximate journey times are:
London, King's Cross - 3 hours
Birmingham - 3 hours
Edinburgh - 4 hours
Cardiff – 5 hours
Walking takes about 15 minutes, though it is partly uphill. From the Interchange, come down the hill, across the crossing and turn left in front of City Hall. Or, if coming from Forster Square station, walk along past the "Fibres" sculpture out onto Cheapside, then along Market Street to City Hall.
From City Hall, walk across City Park. Cross the road and walk left towards the glass front of the Alhambra Theatre. Turn right up Great Horton Road just before the Alhambra Theatre. The University is about 300 meters up this hill, beyond the College. Walk past the side entrance and take the next right onto City Campus, where you will be able to access the main entrance to the Richmond Building as well as other buildings at the City Campus.
Alternatively, and especially if you have luggage, you can take a taxi up to City Campus, costing about £4.00. Taxis can be found outside of the Interchange in the taxi ranks. Alternatively, a LEAP taxi can be booked for about £2.50 – phone bookings only - on 01274 392694.
There are direct regular air services into Leeds/Bradford International Airport, 8 miles (13 km) from the University, from various cities around the UK and Ireland as well as from many international locations.
Bradford can be reached from the Airport by taxi at a cost of about £25. There is also an hourly bus service to Bradford Interchange at a cost of around £4.00.
