Since 2012 Cycling 4 All has provided activities for 7,700 individuals, reaching almost 1.5 Million people through social media, press and hosting events. Cycling 4 All is a unique project in Higher and Further education and has had national reach. The C4A project is a market leader in enhancing the disabled student experience and has been using engagement with sports as an entry point to disabled student engagement. The project has been heralded as a model of good practice for disabled student engagement by the English Federation of Disability Sport; the NUS disabled student campaign and British University College Sports.
Choices 4 All is the natural progression from C4A and will build upon the knowledge and experiences gained over the lifespan of the initial project. An internal evaluation found that the project was making a significant impact on the lives of disabled students but that there was a considerable need to expand the activities on offer to the student and wider community. Choices 4 All will diversify and enhance the activities offered to disabled students, graduates and members from within the local community.
